Usage guidelines
Do
Keep the proportions
Scale the mark and wordmark evenly. Never stretch a single axis.
Give it space
Keep clear space around the logo so it isn't crowded by text or other elements.
Spell it "Kywi"
Capital K, lowercase the rest, in running text. Not "KYWI" or "kywi.ch".
Don't
Recolor it
No gradients, outlines, drop shadows, or other effects.
Distort it
No stretching, skewing, or rotating the mark or wordmark.
Mix the versions
Use color on light backgrounds and mono everywhere else, not both at once.
Questions
Why is the Kywi website so minimal?
So the activities lead. Our job is to get out of the way: clean layouts and quiet chrome, so a host's photos and a place's character do the talking, not the interface.
Why a kiwi?
Kiwi birds are flightless and famously local. They don't migrate, they belong exactly where they are. That's the idea behind Kywi too: hosts who actually know their corner of the world.
Why lime green?
It's loud on purpose. Kywi sits next to a lot of neutral travel branding, so the lime makes a booking, a share link, or an app icon instantly recognizable, even out of context. It's also why it stays out of the product itself: the lime is for identity, not interface.
Can I use the Kywi logo on my own site or app?
Yes, for editorial, press, and factual references to Kywi: reviews, articles, integration guides. Using it to imply a partnership or endorsement needs written permission first.
Is there a version for dark backgrounds?
The files above are set for light backgrounds. For a dark background, open the SVG and change the fill to white, or email us and we'll send an inverted set.
